For the third consecutive year the IGCSE Art and Design students in Grade 9 & 10 were asked to design posters for the production by the High School Drama Club. The students used this opportunity to learn about typography, layout and Photoshop. Students were free to choose the medium in which they worked, resulting in a wide range of media, form vector drawings to digital paintings and watercolour illustrations. All students worked very hard on their designs and the results posters were outstanding.
Students developed their designs through thumbnail sketches and colour studies.
Our Fine Arts Coordinator and the director of the High School Drama, Mr. Gregoriades, was given the hard task of choosing a winning design. He announced that Fumiri's design would be used during the High School assembly. The winning design was printed on postcards, flyers and even the T-shirts of the cast and crew.
